If these little boys under 12 cannot be taught at the Central School, or in any other of the 27 grant in aid Schools, that circumstance should have been made quite clear before the Sec. of S. is asked to give special aid to this establishment which in any case is a very weak school for young Church of England boys.
The proposed relaxation of the rule will apply to 27 grant in aid Schools, & if it will bring substantial assistance, it will do the same to others; when the sum of $30,000 granted last year may possibly become more in future years. If that sum would only fire this school, some doubt is obvious.
